The 2019 Masters’ National Championships will be held on the Mt. Van Hoevenberg Luge Track
in Lake Placid, NY.
Race Day is Sunday, March 17, 2019. 9:00 am Start time
Official Training for Masters’ competitors: schedule subject to change.
Thursday, March 14: 11:00am - 12:00n
Friday, March 15: 11:00am – 12:00n
Saturday, March 16: 5:00pm -7:00pm
Official Weigh In:
Saturday, March 16: 1:00p – 4:30p at the luge headquarters on Church Street
You need to register with Beverly Detwiler at the USLA office (see form attached)
for Official Training, and the Race
Deadline to register is Friday, March 1, 2019.
The Race Fee is $25

The race will be held from the Junior Start (Curve 9). You must be cleared to race by the USLA
coaching staff.
 CLASSES: Masters Men's Singles, Senior Masters Men’s Singles &
Masters Women's Singles; if not 3 women, you will be assigned to one of the other classes.
 Weigh-In: Men in shorts (or long underwear bottoms), Women in shorts & T-shirt (or long
underwear). No double layers
 Race Entry Fee is $25.00 per sled
 All USLA paperwork must be up-to-date (Dues, Waiver, Code of Conduct, Physical,
Concussion Policy) If you don’t have the required paperwork into the Main Office in Lake
Placid, you will not be able to train or compete.

We would like to have everyone get together after the race for an early Luncheon/Brunch after the
race/awards. 11:30 or noon with the location to be determined. This would be self-pay.

Attn. Beverly Detwiler, 57 Church Street, Lake Placid, NY 12946 Fax #: 518-523-4106. Please
enclose a check made out to the U.S. Luge Association for the Race Fee or you can pay by credit
card.
Your track fees must be paid to ORDA at the ticket booth. Any unpaid fees to ORDA for track runs,
by the weigh in, will result in not racing, and you will be considered not in good standing with USLA.
